iconOne hundred years ago Alice McLellan Birney said,"Let us have no more croaking as to what cannot be done; let us see what can be done, and above all see that it is done." That brisk philosophy still drives the PTA today. While the methods may change to make us more responsive to the demands of an electronic era,the underlying principle does not "every child. one voice."

Parents play an integral role in assisting student learning.

STANDARD 4: VOLUNTEERING
Parents are welcome in the school, and their support and assistance are sought.

STANDARD 5: SCHOOL DECISION MAKING AND ADVOCACY
Parents are full partners in the decisions that affect children and families.

STANDARD 6: COLLABORATING WITH COMMUNITY
Community resources are used to strengthen schools, families, and student learning.
